GDC/BC Annual Report 2005 posted 24 October 2006

It’s a humble little thing, but really rather diabolical. Fiendishly designed to print on both sides of very clear paper (16# Chartham), this Annual Report reveals itself like things floating up out of the murky depths. Sortof.

What you see above is, very clearly: page 1 (cover), 2, 3, 4 and then fading: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 … all at once! No waiting!

It’s about “transparency” in reporting, of course, but it’s also about layering and overlapping, as all of the members of our voluntary board are always overlapping roles and helping each other out in various tasks. It’s all very confusing and integrated.

Of course if you really want to read it, well, as usual it’s perfectly readable ... all you have to do is hold the page off the other ones, or slip a piece of white paper in behind it. (But it’s boring as hell.)

Here’s a detail. Due to the light weight of the paper, there was some slippage in the printing, so it doesn’t back up as perfectly as I had hoped.

And the back.
