Way back in the mists of time (December 2007) the New York chapter of the AIGA called upon me to donate custom artwork to their auction. The deal was, whoever won—bid the highest—would submit 2 words of their choice, which i would illustrate in any manner of my choice.
The winner was photographer Camilla Meshiea, and her words were “temet nosce”. I completed this in February, but here it is, seen by the public for the first time.
Will I do this for you? No. Never. Sorry. The pressure (self-imposed) was unbelievable.
